I’m the worlds worst thank you card writer.
I always have the best intentions.
I’ve got a cupboard full of card and photopaper,
ready to write them ty’s
(a few man points knocked off there I reckons)
But, I always over think how big a job it is.
I end up putting it off till later, telling myself how
I’ve got other more important things to do.
Then after weeks of putting it off
it gets too late and embarrassing to send it.
Truth is there is nothing more important than saying thank you
especially because someone has taken time and thought
to buy, give or help…
It doesn’t have to be a big job
or an over the top elaborate thankyou,
just a note to say I appreciate it…
Got me thinking of you,
You know that it is important to lose weight,
not only for your health and your own self-esteem
but so you resemble a person who actually gives a shit about life…
It’s important to you how your body portrays and represents you and your character.
But, you are finding expanding frame more and more embarrassing.
Struggling to hide the fact that you eat what you want, when you want.
(Not surprising really when the last time you broke out in a sweat was
when you thought you’d lost your favourite Chinese takeaway menu.)
Just as I find it embarrassing when I don’t send a thankyou card
and what that says about my character…
But you keep putting it off telling yourself bullshit stories
that you’ve got more important things to do,
you’re too busy, you need the money for booze,
takeaways and expensive coffee, obviously…
And now you think you’ve left it too late and you’re a bit embarrassed.
So you’ll just do your usual and bury your head in the sand
hoping that it will magically sort itself out.
You gotta do the work!
Just like the cards,
it doesn’t have to be a big job,
in fact you are closer than you think.
You’ve just got to get a few basic things in place
1. Learn some self restraint, and practice it daily till it becomes normal.
2. Sweat every day, till that becomes normal.
Just those 2 things alone will drastically change your life
but you knew that already and still you do nothing.
Just like the important thank you cards,
you push it to the back.
You’ve got no one to be a accountable to but yourself…
While I suck at getting my thank you cards done
