Recently someone said I was… lucky.
It was because of a conversation we were having around work life balance — specifically how I was able to have designed a life where I work for as little as 8-10 hours a week which leaves me plenty quality time to pick the kids up from school, play, take them to after school clubs, bathtime and bedtime stories. Both see and be with the lovely wife, get my own sessions in at the gym AND see the lads for a beer or twenty…
For me, we have very limited time with the little ones in the prime of our lives
and I don’t want their memories of me to be of an overweight, overworked guy
that lives in their house only sometimes that they very rarely get to see.
Or, for Mrs Love to only remember a guy that once looked after himself instead of actually being him.
I make very good money and love what I do (I especially like writing these little updates)
But for this guy to think that it was luck that has afforded me these privileges, was insulting.
People are quick to forget what it takes to stand on your own 2 feet.
To feel the fear of failure and doing it anyway.
It didn’t just happen, it took a plan.
Daily application of a code and a way of living.
It started by putting myself first, fixing my body and mental state.
Then creating a system that replicates just that ^^^ for guys like me.
I called it The Tough Love Project because that was both what I needed and what it made me!
Sound like something you need for the sake of you and yours?
