I’m a man of my word and I didn’t get you that 2nd post yesterday
In case you didn’t know I’ve been blessed with my 4th child,
Santino Enrico Love!
(yeh I name all my kids in such a way that they won’t be out of place at an ‘A’ list party)
Labour lasted 2 hours total and only 14 mins of that was at the hospital, I didn’t even have time to eat my wheat loaded, cheese stuffed, dirty sarnie!
Yup, Rachel was built to make dem babies!!!
He is mega handsome (I know I’m biased, but he is) and hasn’t been a spot of bother…
The only problem is that when I should be grafting I find myself skiving with him for a bit of father son snooze time
(hence you haven’t got that email I forewarned you about yesterday)
BUT it’s OK!
The copy for the sign up page can be written today (probably tomorrow after snooze 3 though)
It’s not the end of the world!
As long as I am missing it for something fulfilling!
I’m enjoying the process and the journey!
This should be true of all walks of life.
We need to be more self aware in a world of distractions
Take more time out to smell the roses as it were,
go for a walk,
Always at 100mph and not actually having time to decide what you like and don’t like!
^^^ I’m really guilty of this ^^^
But I know that I love, love, love spending quality time with my kids!
It’s not worth missing these early days with Santino that you can never get back.
It happens all the time in the gym too
We are too fixated on the end result
No matter what your target in the gym
15%, 10%, 5% bodyfat,
none of them will be fulfilling!
Let me explain.
They are all nice things to achieve but they all are superficial and they lack meaning!
There will always be something else,
True fulfillment is found on the journey itself…
The difficult sessions ,
like having squats are supersetted with deads (yup hitting that one tonight).
The lessons we learn,
like when prepping food gives us back that lost commodity of time!
The people we meet,
remember yesterday we talked about the people who lift us up instead of putting us down.
The conversations we have,
where cauliflower rice and tupperware in the same sentence isn’t met with a ‘wot tha hell is that 4, scoff scoff I love greggs pasties’ type of response,
and the daily battles we win
that top up our positive success emotions! – very powerful stuff this!!
Don’t get me wrong, long term goals are uber important!
However honcho, remember this, write it down, take a picture for it is molto importante!!!
‘The Journey Far Outweighs The Destination’
People come to Tough Love for the Results but they Stay for the Experience!
I’ll leave you with this thought –
Choosing a transformation programme and fitness journey is like choosing a car.
A Skoda will get you from A to B as will a Ferrari!
It’s the experience that makes the difference in value…
Paul ‘The Ferrari’ Love
